The Irish counties with the highest childcare costs

Across Ireland, about 171,200 children attended early years services in 2015/2016, according to Pobal, a 16 percent increase on the previous year. The average cost of a full-time childcare place was €167.03 per week. The following infographic shows the cost by county with Wicklow particularly expensive at over €200 every week. Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown in Dublin has the highest fees nationwide at €213.94 in 2015/2016.
