YLDs caused by mental disorders in Latin America & the Caribbean 2019, by country
In 2019, Brazil was the Latin American country with the highest amount of years lived with disability (YLDs) due to mental disorders per 100,000 population in the region, with around 2,195 years of healthy life lost by mental health problems. Guyana, Chile, and Paraguay followed, with more than two thousand years lived with mental disability per 100,000 people, or years lived with suboptimal health due to mental disorders.
