Delay of deliveries during the coronavirus confinement in France May 2020
After the outbreak of the coronavirus and the announcement of the confinement in France in March and April 2020, the e-commerce activity had grown for certain parts of product categories such as groceries and pharmaceutical products. The source analyzed the delivery times and the delays provoked by the epidemic. During the first week of March, most items were delivered under five days. In the last week of March, most of the delays lied between six and ten days (38 percent). In April 2020, that number rose up to 45 percent with a delay of more than 10 days. As of May 3rd, the delay time exceeded 10 days.
