Colombia: change in online sales due to COVID-19 2020, by category

The coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak led to a shift in online consumer behavior in Colombia. Under strict mandatory preventive isolation since March 24, the tourism sector was hit the hardest, with online sales dropping approximately 91 percent as of the beginning of May. Meanwhile, between February and May, categories such as retail and sports saw e-commerce sales grow by 209 and 187 percent, respectively.
