The implementation of measures to stop COVID-19 from spreading in Italy meant reducing daily contacts such as those in the office. An unusual number of workers was thus forced to change their habits and work from home. A survey conducted between April 26 and May 9, 2020 investigated the workers' opinions on their experience with smart working. This change of habits apparently did not leave people indifferent and the overall picture emerging from the survey is a positive one. The majority of the respondents, in fact, found remote working to be a productive and satisfactory experience. At the same time, most respondents did not consider working from home to be too heavy or complex. Moreover, only one third of the respondents found smart working to be alienating and stressful.
