Government integrity sub-score of Ethiopia on the Economic Freedom Index 2000-2020
As of 2020, the government integrity sub-score on the Economic Freedom Index for Ethiopia was 29.4, which was a decrease of 5.7 points from 2019. Between 2000 and 2018, the government integrity sub-score fluctuated between 22 points in 2007 and 37.7 points in 2018. Compared to the African average, the Ethiopian score was higher between 2000 and 2004 and between 2015 and 2020, while was lower between 2005 and 2014. Both the African and the Ethiopian scores were below the world average for the entire period under investigation.
