French women in charge of buying vacuum cleaners in their household 2019, by diploma
Considering the example of vacuum cleaners, it seems that the distribution of the charge related to the purchase of household appliances is more egalitarian within households in which women have a higher level of education. Indeed, about two thirds (66 percent) of highly graduated women were responsible for the purchase of vacuum cleaners in their households, compared to 75 percent of women with a technical college qualification.
