Created in 2017, the Formula One eSports Series is a series of eSports events promoted by Formula 1. Since 2018, the official Formula 1 teams have been involved in the program and set up their own eSports teams to compete in the championship events. The Pro Series event in 2020, in which the official F1 teams selected drivers to represent them in live eSports events, attracted around 291 million social media impressions and had approximately 23.8 million video views worldwide.
