Mobile money usage in South Africa since the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020
In November 2020, 40 percent of respondents in South Africa reported a decrease in the use of mobile money since the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. Some 31 percent used the service with more frequency in the country, while by 29 percent the usage of mobile money kept the same level as before the health crisis.
