In 2019, the import of rubber and articles thereof into South Africa amounted to an approximate value of 1.23 billion U.S. dollars. This was a decrease in value in comparison to the preceding year, when roughly 1.29 billion U.S. dollars of the products were imported. Furthermore, China was one of the main trade partners of South Africa concerning rubber imports with a share of nearly 25 percent.
