Youth employment-to-population ratio in Africa 2012-2021
As of 2021, the employment-to-population ratio for young people in Africa was projected at 40 percent. That meant, around four in every ten young Africans of working age were in some form of employment. The ratio has remained quite stable in recent years, with a slight decline from the 40.8 percent in 2012.
