Ransom payment intent worldwide by industry 2023

According to a 2023 survey of Chief Information Security Officers (CISO) worldwide, around three in four retail organizations worldwide plan to pay ransom in the case of a ransomware attack in the following 12 months to restore systems and prevent sensitive data release. Most organizations in the public sector, technology, and financial services also reported they would pay in the case of a ransomware attack.
