Japan: contactless mobile payment app ownership by age 2022

Contactless mobile payment app ownership in Japan was the highest among consumers in their twenties, a survey conducted in November 2022 found. Around 41 percent of respondents aged 20 to 29 owned mobile payment apps on NFC-enabled devices. The overall ownership rate of mobile payment apps was 35 percent.
