Pharmaceutical users in Spain 2023, by purchase channel
According to a survey carried out in Spain in 2023, the most common purchase channel of pharmaceutical products in the country was physical stores, with eight in ten respondents stating they either always or usually carry out their purchases in person. In contrast, only two in every ten people in Spain tend to make use of online alternatives. As of that year, there were an estimated 22,261 pharmacies in the European country, the equivalent of one pharmacy per 2,130 inhabitants.
