Distribution of respondents' time spent on news MENA 2022, by country and age group
According to a survey on the news industry in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region in 2022, 79 percent of respondents aged 60 and above in the United Arab Emirates said that they access news at least once a day. This was the highest share amongst any age group. Figures for respondents 60 and above in Egypt and Saudi Arabia were also similar, at 63 and 70 percent, respectively. In all three countries, as the age group increased, so did the share of respondents who said they access the news at least once a day.
