Consumer spending on cable TV and streaming in the U.S. 2023, by generation
According to a late 2023 survey, 71 percent of U.S. adults spent between 0 and 100 U.S. dollars per month on cable TV and/or video streaming services. The silent generation paid the most for video content, with 46 percent of respondents spending more than 100 U.S. dollars per month. Meanwhile, the share of Gen Z adults paying this amount was only 18 percent.
