U.S. violent victimization rate by age of victim & location of residence 2003-13
This statistic represents the rate of violent victimizations in the U.S. from 2003 to 2013, by age of victim and location of residence. During 2003 to 2013, elderly persons (65 years and older) living in urban areas experienced violent crime at a rate of 5.1 per 1,000 respective population which is higher than elderly persons living suburban (3.2 per 1,000) and rural areas (2.8 per 1,000).
