Leading radio formats of U.S. teenagers 2018
As of fall 2018, the leading radio format among teenagers (aged 12 to 17) in the United States was pop contemporary hit radio, more commonly known as CHR for short. In second and third place resepectively were country and adult contemporary. These categories were among the most popular radio formats during any 15-minute period throughout the day, with country programming receiving the attention of 12.7 percent of the 12-17 year-old radio audience, and 8.6 percent tuning into AC stations.
