Looking at the social media practices of French aged between 16 and 25 years old, it appears that 67 percent of respondents declared using Facebook, which ranked after Instagram and Snapchat as the mainly used social media in this age group. Moreover, within this generation, more than 80 percent of the youngest (16-18 years old) stated using Instagram and Snapchat.

Still, according to Statista’s Global Consumer Survey, Facebook remains the most regularly used social network in France in 2019, with more than 80 percent of the surveyed. Indeed, only 40 percent of respondents were regularly using media sharing platforms like Instagram and Snapchat in the same survey.
