Breakdown of of oil changes performed at fast lube shops in the U.S. 2019
Roughly one third of all oil changes carried out at fast lube shops in the United States were semi-synthetic type changes. Semi-synthetic oil is a blend between conventional lubricants and synthetic lubricants, the latter being deemed the longest-lasting type due to its high level of refinement. Diesel oil was used in 5.6 percent of all oil changes.
