This statistic shows the share of companies' U.S. sales of leading drugs that will go off patent in 2017 in the U.S. In 2017, Pfizer's Viagra, which accounted for six percent of Pfizer's U.S. sales in 2016, will go off patent. When pharmaceutical drugs lose their patents it is possible for drug makers to make generic versions of the drug.
