Mexican crude steel production 200-2022
In 2022, Mexico produced approximately 18.4 million metric tons of crude steel, slightly down from 18.45 million metric tons registered in the previous year. Between 2018 and 2020, the production levels dropped significantly and the decrease in 2020 was mainly caused by the coronavirus pandemic. Even though in 2021, the crude steel production rose in the country but still the next year, slightly dropped again.
