The Quarter Final Winners (According to Google)

There are now just eight teams left fighting it out in the FIFA World Cup 2018 in Russia. Having already seen a couple of upsets - Germany finishing bottom of their group and Spain being knocked out by Russia, for example - the beautiful game is arguably harder to predict at this tournament than it has been for some time. Nevertheless, Google has provided the 'win probability' for each team due to play in the quarter final matches.

After England's historic penalty shootout win over Colombia in the round of 16, Google sees the Three Lions as the team with the greatest chance of progressing to the semis with a win over Sweden - Gareth Southgate's men have been awarded a 50 percent chance of winning. If the predictions turn out to be correct, Croatia will await England in the semi finals while on the other side of the draw, France and Brazil will face off against each other for a place in the final.
