WeWork Rents More Space Than JP Morgan in NYC

WeWork is now New York City's largest office tenant. Earlier this year, WeWork won that title in London, one of the cities with the most coworking centers around the globe. The company successfully unseated JP Morgan as the biggest renter of office space in New York City. The industry for renting office space is largely dominated by banks, with WeWork the only non-bank in the top 5 biggest renters.

Coworking spaces are arrangements where independent workers or businesses rent a shared work space. While these spaces can be rented out by large corporate clients, they generally cater to a shared work environment. WeWork in recent years has even expanded beyond that, providing classes, retail, a community speakeasy, and an urban think tank in some locations.
