Website ASecureLife recently used data from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children to determine the number of registered sex offenders per 100,000 inhabitants in U.S. states. The highest rate was recorded in Oregon with 688 per 100,000 of the population, followed by Arkansas (536 per 100,000) and Delaware (491 per 100,000). The lowest rate was recorded in Maryland with 125 registered sex offenders per 100,000 people.
