U.S. Students and Cryptocurrency Ownership

A survey conducted by Coinbase reveals that 18 percent of students in the United States owned some amount of cryptocurrency in 2018. As this infographic shows, the major most likely to have such students is medicine (18%) and, perhaps unsurprisingly, computer science with 19 and 18 percent respectively. Those studying the social sciences were among the least engaged in this type of investment, of which only 3 percent said they owned cryptocurrency.
