The Most Common Plastic Surgery Procedures Worldwide

According to data from the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery or ISAPS, some 11.36 million plastic surgery procedures were carried out around the world in 2019, the most recent year data is available. That total represents a 7.1 percent increase on 2018 and a 20.6 percent increase on 2015.

The most sought-after operation was Breast Augmentation with nearly 1.8 million procedures globally in 2019, 15.8 percent of the total. Liposuction was the second most common procedure, having been carried out 1.7 million times, while Eyelid Surgery came third with just under 1.3 million procedures.
