Online travel platform room rates lower than the market average

Although the average cost of a hotel room in the EU climbed between 2016 and 2019, average prices on online travel platforms have remained relatively stable at around 100 euros per night. In comparison, the average market price has risen noticeably after a slight drop in 2016, preceding a steady rise to a market average of 128 euros in 2019.
