Travel accommodation providers know that sustainability matters

There appears to be a genuine willingness to implement sustainable practices in the accommodation industry, with 74 percent of providers indicating that they have already taken steps toward becoming more sustainable. Furthermore, more than half of respondents to the Booking.com survey believed that following sustainable procedures generates cost savings. While 66 percent believed that sustainability has a positive impact on the local community, only 39 percent agreed that the changes would improve guest experience. There is nevertheless a broad consensus that sustainability is a top priority for accommodation providers.
