Travel is coming back: How do European hoteliers feel about it?

After the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 and 2021, the accommodation sector is finally showing signs of recovery. In a 2022 survey of European accommodation providers, 70 percent of accommodation professionals indicated that the development of their business in the last 6 months was good to very good. Nevertheless, accommodation providers in Europe are still cautious about the future. Less than 3 in 5 felt that their current economic situation was good or very good, and looking further ahead, just over a third were positive about the future while a substantial minority of 17% did not expect their accommodation business to develop for the better in the near future.

The European Accommodation Barometer 2022 presents the findings of a survey of European accommodation industry professionals commissioned by Booking.com and conducted by Statista. Feel free to download the eBook here if you are interested.
