The Numbers Behind Taylor Swift’s ‘The Eras Tour’

October 13, Taylor Swift's lucky number, marks the premiere of 'The Eras Tour' movie, which will be screening in 8,500 cinemas in more than 100 countries around the world. Last night, some lucky fans already had the chance to see the concert movie in the United States and Canada, after the American singer announced via her official Instagram account that there would be additional early access screenings due to overwhelming demand.

According to AMC Theatres, prior to the inclusion of these new viewings, 'The Eras Tour' movie had managed to generate an impressive $100+ million in advance ticket sales globally. This will be an exceptional year for Swift, who, according to initial forecasts, is expected to reach some $2.2 billion in ticket sales for her North American performances. Throughout the U.S. leg of her tour, Taylor Swift has grossed an estimated $13 million in ticket sales per night, attracting an average of 72,000 spectators per concert.

In total, the tour covers 146 dates on five continents. As Swifties in Europe, Asia and Latin America eagerly await the artist's performance in their respective regions, additional dates have already been added for the United States in late 2024.
