Medical Check-up

Which Countries Are Diligent About Medical Check-Ups?

Prevention is the best way to stop disease in its tracks. A survey by Statista Consumer Insights shows the nations where regular medical check-ups are common practice. South Korea (61 percent) and Brazil (52 percent) serve as role models - more than half of those surveyed in these nations regularly go and see their doctors for a check-up.

Residents of the United Kingdom and the Netherlands (28 percent each) are less likely to take advantage of this opportunity to maintain one's health. In Germany, around 48 percent of survey participants stated that they were regularly examined by a doctor. In the United States, this number stood at 44 percent. Generally, doctor's visits are almost always a good idea for preventative purposes and the health of a population is normally not inferrable through a high number of medical visits.
