Death is a costly business

Recent research by Royal London has delved into the unpleasant topic of funerals. No one enjoys a funeral, but they are unfortunately an essential part of life. Likewise, so are the bills that follow them. For next of kin across the UK, these bills have been on the increase. From 2014 to 2015 there was an average rise of 140 pounds.

Costs vary across the country, with the most expensive burials or cremations found in London at 4,402 pounds. Mourners in Northern Ireland need the least money set aside, with an average price of 3,008 pounds.
