During the first televised debate on Monday, Donald Trump again refused to release his tax returns, stating that he would only do this if Clinton released her deleted emails. While Trump plays on his supposedly great wealth to win voters, there are a number of question marks over the actual size of his fortune. While Trump himself disclosed a fortune "in excess of ten billion dollars" when filing his financial disclosure to the Federal Election Commission this year, Bloomberg, Forbes, and Fortune disagree with this valuation somewhat. Having slashed 800 million dollars off their estimate this week due to a weakening New York property market, Forbes value Mr Trump's net worth at 3.7 billion dollars.
