Constitutional Referendum

Italy Gives A Resounding "No"

Yesterday, Italy voted on Matteo Renzi's make or break constitutional referendum with an overwhelming "No". The prime minister has since resigned, as previously pledged, plunging the country into uncertainty and leaving it open to a surge from right-wing parties such as the Five Star Movement. As our infographic shows, almost 60 percent of voters chose to reject the proposed reforms with a mere three regions opting overall for the changes.
