How cheap is the UK's cheapest car?
Car Drivers
Even though Dacia increased the starting price of its entry-level Sandero by £1000 to £6,995, it remains the cheapest new car in the UK. The car's previous sales price remained unaffected by inflation, tax changes and list price hikes since it hit the British market five years ago. However, the company has decided it must increase the price due to several factors including recent VED tweaks.
The £6,995 price tag is still pretty cheap though and the following infographic shows just how cheap. Someone purchasing an Audi A8 could buy nine Dacia Sanderos and conceivably found a taxi company for the same price. Anybody planning to splash the cash on a luxurious Range Rover SV coupé could buy an impressive 34 Sanderos. For the price of a McLaren Senna supercar (all of which have already been sold), somebody could buy 107 Sanderos.
