Prices of imported and domestic wheat Oman 2013-2017
In 2017, domestically produced wheat in Oman had a price of 930 U.S. dollars per metric ton, compared to 1130 U.S. dollars per metric tons in 2015. Within the Middle East and North Africa region, animal products, dairy, beverages and tobacco have higher tariffs than other products. Tariffs increase prices for domestic consumers and producers reducing competitiveness.
