Russia's exports of engines for weapons were measured at 893 million trade-indicator values (TIV) in 2022. Furthermore, aircraft exports reached 855 million TIV in the same year. The total exports of major weapons from the country exceeded 2.8 billion TIV in 2022. The TIV is a unit developed by the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) based on known unit production costs of core weapons. It is intended to represent the transfer of military resources rather than the financial value of the transfer.
