Klarna's valuation in 2022 declined by 85 percent compared its previous value in 2021, although market cap is higher than it was in 2019. The new value came in the wake of of a round of investment in July 2022 that included a slew of new and existing investors, including Sequoia, Mubadala Investment Company, Commonwealth Bank of Australia, Silver Lake, and CPP Investments (Canada's Pension Plan Investment Board). Klarna itself reported the value decline as “worst stock downturn in 50 years”, although
