Expenditure for environmental protection in the industry in Israel 2020 by field
In 2023, the largest share of expenditure in the country that year was on protection of air quality and climate. This field, together with waste management, accounted for nearly 70 percent of spending in these sectors that year. In comparison, expenditure on radiation was only 0.9 percent. The report notes that total public sector spending that year amounted to nearly 2.5 billion Israeli shekels (roughly 648 million U.S. dollars).
