Share of opinions about the prevalence of cancer in Nigeria 2023, by gender
As of 2023, 50 percent of the women and 47 percent of the men in Nigeria thought that cancer was very prevalent. An additional 32 percent of men and 27 percent of women believed cancer was somewhat prevalent. Moreover, the incidence of cancer in the country showed that close to 30 percent had cancer or had a family member who did.
