Spain companies using cybersecurity measures by industry 2022

In 2022, companies in the information and communication technology (ICT) sector were the most active in implementing cybersecurity measures in Spain. Over 98 percent of such firms applied at least some cybersecurity measures, while 21 percent implemented all cybersecurity measures, which include usage of strong passwords, software updates, biometric identification, data encryption and backup, network access control, VPN, systems monitoring, etc. Companies focused specifically on information and communication showed a similar high adoption of cybersecurity measures, with 97 percent of such bodies implementing at least some cybersecurity measure and 21 percent implementing all possible actions.
