Apparent steel use per capita in the U.S. 2003-2022
In 2022, the per capita use of steel in the United States came to just below 280 kilograms of finished steel products. This represents an almost eight-kilogram decrease compared to the previous year. On the other hand, the highest amount in the last 20 years was recorded in 2004, with 400.7 kilograms of finished steel products.
