Vipps was the most popular mobile payment app in Norway in 2017. 60 percent of the respondents reported to be using Vipps in the evaluated period. PayPal Mobile followed, with 11 percent of the respondents using it, while mCash and MobilePay were used respectively by five and four percent of the interviewed Norwegians. 34 percent, however, answered that they did not use any mobile payment apps that year. As of 2018, 75 percent of the Norwegian consumers preferred card payment as a mobile payment method whereas 35 percent preferred PayPal and 23 preferred invoice or Vipps.
