During a study among marketers in the United States published in September 2023, approximately 43 percent reported purchasing digital out-of-home (DOOH) campaigns through direct buys only. Around 28 percent of respondents said they exclusively used programmatic buys. For comparison, on average, 30 percent of global marketers bought DOOH programmatically only, according to the same survey.
