Brexit

Born in the UK, Living in Europe

With the Brexit talks now in full flow, the main topic so far has been the rights of UK citizens living in the EU and vice versa. Unfortunately for the millions of people that this directly effects, the sounds coming out of the negotiation room have so far only intensified the feelings of uncertainty awoken on 23 June last year. As our infographic shows, a large number of people born in the UK now live in other EU countries. The most popular as of 2015 were Spain (310,000) and Ireland (250,000). Their future hangs in the balance.
