The U.S. Cities In Range of North Korea's ICBM

According to calculations by David Wright, physicist and director of the Union of Concerned Scientists, the most recent test of an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) by North Korea indicates the Kim Jong-un led country may now have the capability to strike a wide range of U.S. mainland cities.

Although the mass of the payload used in the test is an unknown variable, Wright believes the ICBM fired by the regime on July 28 could have the range to hit U.S. cities such as Chicago, New York, Boston and Denver. DC and the White House seem to be safe for the time being, lying 100 metres out of the estimated reach.

The United States responded to the latest test with another show of force - a flyover of the Korean Peninsula by two supersonic B-1 Lancer bombers. Via his usual communication method, the President himself attempted again to provoke China into action, tweeting "I am very disappointed in China. Our foolish past leaders have allowed them to make hundreds of billions of dollars a year in trade, yet they do NOTHING for us with North Korea, just talk. We will no longer allow this to continue. China could easily solve this problem!".
