Pubs in Britain

In Britain, An Ideal Pub Serves Meals

A pub in Britain ideally serves meals – this is what a newly released survey by YouGov found on Tuesday. Of the 2,000 Brits surveyed, 67 percent said that meal-serving is important while women are more likely than men to appreciate it (74 percent vs 60 percent).

To 63 percent, a beer garden is another top feature rounding off the pub visit and a fireplace makes it perfect for 52 percent. Overall, men prefer pubs with TVs and are more likely than women to want it to broadcast football or sports shows (27 percent vs 9 percent of women).

And last but not least, roughly a third of respondents value a pub that allows dogs and doesn’t allow children.
