Which Countries Produce The Most Books?

Which countries publish the most books each year? A report from the non-profit International Publishers Association found that in 2015, two countries dominated global book production. That year, China produced 470,000 new titles while the United States churned out just under 339,000. The United Kingdom rounded off the top three with 173,000 books. However, when it comes to titles per million inhabitants, the United Kingdom actually comes first with 2,710. By comparison, the U.S. has 1,043 per million people and China only has 335.
