Despite its small size of just 2.02 square kilometres, the tiny Principality of Monaco has 25,969 inhabitants per square kilometre. According to UN data published by the World Economic Forum, that makes it number one on the list of the most densely populated countries and territories worldwide, ahead of Macao and Singapore.
